Shinya Kogami: Introduction
Shinya Kogami is the character from Psycho-Pass, in which he served as the main protagonist in the first season and in the season 3 he was seen as a supporting character. In the series he severs as a Tactical Advisor into the Suppressing Action Department of the Foreign Affair Operations Department. Before to this , he served as a mercenary in foreign countries , helping oppressed people to attain there right . He has also been an inspector within Division 1 of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Public Safety Bureau .
Kogami birth place is in Kanagawa , his parents are Tomoyo Kogami and his father is unknown . when he was in high school, he met Ginoza and gradually got close , when Kogami saved from bullies , they became best friends . Kogami did his major in social science and he started with kickboxing and wrestling as a hobby. When Kogami got to know that his best friends want to be an Inspector in future , he also decided to take up an Inspector as his future profession . Eventually he graduated and followed Ginoza and became an Inspector , just like Ginoza and entered in the Division 03.
Appearance
Shinya Kogami is guy with average height and his body is muscular in his 30’s. He has short brown hair and a gray coloured eyes and pale skin complexion. He wears a black suit because he is in CBI with white dress shirt and black tie.
Whenever he is on mission, he wears a gray coloured coat over the black suit . in the series , 2116 year he wears an olive green , shirt which is in the design of military and pants with vest which is bullet-proof and brown coloured combat boots. He carries traditional gun with him in the brown holster , whereas in the Season 3 of Psycho- Pass , Shinya Kogami wears simple civilian outfits.
Personality
Shinya is a very skilled as he is a detective , he can quickly solve the case and this ability of his is valuable asset to the Division 01 . when he severed as an Enforcer , he was at lower rank than his childhood friend Nobuchika Ginoza that’s why he worked under him , who is an Inspector and lead officer. Kogami and his friend seen never on the same page , but they respect each other judgement related to police work.
Kogami is a cool-headed person and he seems detached while working on a case with major instincts and insight into the criminal mind . He is well skilled investigator , which leaves the best Enforcer impressed and they greatly dismayed by his risk method which he uses to solve the case . Although Kogami has a serious persona , still he has sense of humour and teases rookie Inspector, Akane Tsunemori , which he finds amusing . In the end he decided to be back in Japan and leave his nomadic lifestyle behind.
